The collaboration agreements between both companies cover a minority investment of OSG in Coat-X’s capital, as well as the establishment of a joint venture in Japan (Coat-X Japan Co, Ltd). The newly formed entity will be established within the premises of OSG in Toyokawa. We will start serving the Asian market with Coat-X’s solutions at the beginning of 2022 directly from this new coating center.
As market leader with commercial presence in 33 countries and production facilities in 17 of these, OSG is an exceptional partner for La Chaux-de-Fonds based Coat-X. It will allow us to keep developing innovative thin film coatings, and to bring these technologies to many different industries where fast changing environment triggers the need for high performance miniaturized encapsulation solutions.
A key milestone
