Climate-KIC greenhouse and proof of concept grant open for application

Climate-KIC aims to significantly accelerate the innovation required for a transformation to a low-carbon economy, and to ensure Europe benefits from new technologies, company growth and jobs. One measure to achieve this goal are grants for young entrepreneurs and start-ups. Two of them are open for application:

Greenhouse Grant: Get your entrepreneurial career started with 24,000CHF!
This grant is for motivated, convincing entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and/ or breakthrough technology with a substantial climate impact; a basic business model and a start-up creation objective, ideally associated with ETH, EMPA, EAWAG or PSI, who have not yet founded their company and will be applying for venturelab and venture-kick stage 1 within the first 4 weeks after having received the grant.

Proof of Concept Funding (PoC) – up to CHF 60,000 to prove your technology!

This grant is for incorporated startups or startups in the process of incorporation with a robust, promising technology or service, a substantial climate impact and a promising scalable business model looking to build a prototype or demonstrator.

Application deadline for both grants is 5^th March, 2012.
