Young Professional Program launches after successful pilot

Founded by a spinoff of Impact Hub Zürich, Future.preneurship has the ambition to connect career starters with companies for internships. The organisation caters to the needs of organisations with small and fast-growing teams in which the soft and ‘human’ factors – which are often neglected in traditional ‘HR’ understanding – are decisive for a lasting match. Additionally, the organisation offers not a guided recruiting as well as training designed especially for organizations and their future employees in accelerating new work culture within growing organizations.

To date, the team has gained 8 years of experience and collaborated with over 200 companies from the Swiss innovation scene supporting them in finding and training new team members. Among them are startups comprising of MedTech and BioTech startups such as Caressoma, 1nfusion and iCure, blockchain and fintech startups namely vestr, shift Crypto security, Validity labs and Yova. Travel company Trip Boutique, food startup such as La Flor, cleantech company Climanosco and sharing economy platform provider Sharely, also contributed to the success of the first pilot program. Innovation labs of larger corporations including Post Finance Lab or Keen Innovation have too benefited from the program.

A successful first pilot
Building on their experience, the founding team of Future.preneurship, which is composed of Annina Menzi, Chantal Amberg and Sira Negri launched the Young Professional Programm in 2019 with the goal to connect Young Professionals to selected jobs in new work cultures in startups and innovative companies. Eligible for the program are experienced professionals around their 30ies for permanent project-based positions in companies.

The first pilot edition of the program supported 57 selected candidates of which 75 per cent are female participants. “It was noticeable that the program attracts women who are eagerly looking for an entry in the world of innovation, said Annina Menzi, Founder & CEO at Future.preneurship.

Moreover, 15 companies among which were two thirds active in tech-related fields and a third are operating social ventures and innovation labs.

“Connecting engaged interns with entrepreneurial mind-sets to innovative companies were the core business of Future.preneurship. It soon became clear that the need for such a matching format also exists for permanent and project-based positions. We believe that fruitful and long-lasting matches can be created by looking at the values and mindsets of both parties, and not only on black-on-white skills”, added Menzi.

Open for application
Based on the success and positive impact of the pilot of the program, the Future.preneurship team is now accepting applications for the second round. The deadline for both companies and candidates expires on September 30, 2020. Early bird prices are available until 30 August.
