EverdreamSoft (EDS) with its Blockchain publishing team BitCrystals join Ubisoft’s innovation Lab in Paris. During the next 5 month, the startup will attend workshops and receive personalised support from experts.

Ubisoft innovation Lab is an accelerator program run by Ubisoft at Station-F in Paris. The organising team has announced the participants of the second edition. Among them is the Swiss Startup EDS/BitCrystals. Ubisoft is a leading creator, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and services, with a rich portfolio of world-renowned brands, including Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance, Watch_Dogs, Tom Clancy’s video game series, Rayman and Far Cry. For the 2017-18 fiscal year Ubisoft generated sales of €1,732 million.

EDS is a Geneva based startup specialising in the development mobile games and applications driven by blockchain technology. EDS is the parent of BitCrystals, a blockchain game and collectables publisher that offers game developers a suite of tools and services to help them make the most of the new marketing and revenue opportunities that the blockchain brings. This includes strategic and advisory services, access to the BitCrystals cryptocurrency and marketing cross-promotion to the large user base within blockchain-based gaming wallet, Book of Orbs.

Shaban Shaame, EDS’s Founder & CEO: “This sounds as a logical sequel of our efforts and investments since 2015, for when we initiated the notion of “true ownership,” we knew this concept was going to be attracting many people. We are glad that Ubisoft is one of the first major company to take interest in this.”

While in France, the startup joins other innovative startups like Mimesys, Panda Guide, iExec, and Azarus. EDS will also be working with Ubisoft’s specialists on game design and data analytics. The startup seeks to improve its products and services. "Meeting with other startups, sharing information, and having great networking and training opportunities (via conferences, workshops, etc….) is a very stimulating way to share knowledge and benefit from new perspectives", writes the team in a blog post. Several EDS team members will therefore be travelling from Switzerland and the Netherlands to work at Station F.

EDS Project Manager Nicolas Sierro says, “It is a great satisfaction to work with Ubisoft who have expressed a great interest about blockchain in gaming. Ubisoft knew what we have been doing in Spells of Genesis, so we were meant to meet someday. Our presence at Station F is a great opportunity for us to expand our presence in France and meet the most active and innovative companies in digital.”
