HackZurich 2016

In the coming autumn startups, entrepreneurs, developers, and enthusiast have the opportunity to participate in either the 54-hour Startup weekend or 48-hour hackathon to develop new ideas for a selected theme. These events provide an opportunity to test ideas, get feedback and meet future co-workers. Registration is open.

Startup Weekends are 54-hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations. Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. All teams hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurials. The weekend is centered around action, innovation, and education. The event thus offers a platform to test startup ideas, meet like-minded people and potential co-founders and build a community.

This coming autumn, two startup weekends have been organised. Startup Weekend Zurich with the theme Food and Hospitality will take place from 8. – 10. September 2017 at Technopark Zurich and Startup Weekend Basel 24-26 November 2017 at Launchlabs Basel. During the weekend participants will develop their ideas for the given theme and transform them into business models guided by coaches and top-notch startup experts. In the end each team or individual will present their business models to the jury, who will give feedback and select the best business models.
