CEO Day has been renamed to Swiss Startup Day in order to make it clear to everyone what this event is all about. The event will take place on October 21st 2015, 9:00-18:00 at Stade de Suisse in Berne.

The Swiss Startup Day will again be an event full of highlights and opportunities for start-ups, investors, supporters and representatives of industrial companies. Following the welcome address by Chairman Dr. Christian Wenger and the warm-up by Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier, Investors on Stage will pitch to the audience.

This will be followed by a Pitching Battle where approx. 40 Start-ups from ICT, Cleantech, Biotech, Medtech, Micro-Nanotech and Services will engage in a maximum 3-minute pitch. The qualification for the 40 slots will be done at the Elevator Pitch event, 3rd of October 2015, held in the elevator of the Clouds Restaurant at the Prime Tower in Zurich.

Simultaneous to the pitching battle Best Practice Workshops will be offered. The focus this year will be on legal aspects. The workshop descriptions will be available online latest End of August.

After the lunch-break there will be a first Panel Discussion with Ash Maurya (author of Running Lean), Johannes Reck (CEO GetYourGuide) and Dr. Christian Wenger (Chairman CTI Invest) about the topic: Swiss Startup Ecosystem: Quo Vadis? More participants to be announced.

The 1to1 Meetings in the afternoon offer the opportunity to meet with pre-determined potential industrial partners, investors, support organisations or start-up companies. “This year we will have 100 tables, so 800 meetings will be possible (680 last year)”, explains organizer Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier.

In parallel to the 1to1 meetings, participants may follow the second Panel Discussion about Corporate Venturing in Switzerland, or visit the Partners, Sponsors and Start-up booths.
