Important step for BEN Energy in Germany

BEN Energy and Association of Municipal Utilities Supporting Sustainable Resource Management (ASEW) enter into a partnership to offer energy utilities a new type of customer engagement solution. ASEW is a trade association for energy efficiency and renewable energy, composed of more than 270 municipal utilities nationwide.

ASEW now offers its members BEN’s customer engagement solution for municipal utilities – an energy efficiency portal for both PC as smartphone, as well as energy reports by email and mail.

ASEW and BEN strive to enable a new type of engagement for private customers with their utility and support their private clients individually in an energy-efficient behavior. “Saving energy does not have to be boring. We want to make energy efficiency entertaining and very easy, and so change the way people deal with energy” says Jan Marckhoff, CEO and co-founder of BEN Energy. In future, private clients of ASEW’s member utilities will receive emotionally prepared information to their energy consumption, have the opportunity to compare their consumption with friends, and can earn bonus points for energy-saving behavior.
