PlusMAT signed a collaborative contract with a Chinese partner during the opening ceremony of SSZEIP. The Sino-Swiss Zhenjiang Ecological Industry Park (SSZEIP) aims at promoting collaboration between Swiss and Chinese companies in developing an ecological industrial park. The signing of the contract marked an important milestone for PlusMAT’s CTI market entry camp china program.

Plus MAT AG (+MAT), a Swiss high-tech start-up, is commercializing a patented cost-effective and innovative system, including equipment and process, to recover the lost silicon from Photovoltaic (PV) sawing process for direct re-application in the production line of solar cells. Located in Canton of Bern in Switzerland, Plus MAT AG is originated from the EPFL. +MAT is in its final stages of developing a novel and cost effective system, for recovery of the precious PV grade silicon normally lost in the wafering process.

PlusMAT was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Sino-Swiss Zhenjiang Ecological Industrial Park (SSZEIP), where PlusMAT signed the contract with one Chinese PV manufacturer and marked an important milestone for its CTI market entry camp china program. Industrialized machine will be produced in Switzerland and imported to China after the successful pilot test in China PV plant in Zhenjiang. Fund-raising to scale up and for the physical footage of the company in China is the next aspiring mission for PlusMAT.

SSZEIP description
The Sino-Swiss Zhenjiang Ecological Industry Park (SSZEIP) is the result of a bilateral agreement between the Chinese Ministry of Trade and the Federal Department of Economic Affairs aimed at promoting collaboration between Swiss and Chinese companies in developing an ecological industrial park.

SSZEIP will be developed and built with Swiss technology, wherever the business case is proven, and become a Chinese showcase of sustainable economic development. There is a host of business opportunities (from real estate to energy, transport water supply, waste-water management and recycling etc.) which Swiss businesses will be able to assess and evaluate with the Chinese authorities.
