Uepaa! strengthens management in preparation for Europe-wide roll-out

Just a few weeks after its successful launch onto the Swiss market, Uepaa AG has already reached its next big milestone. The end of September will see the launch of the Premium app with the following key features:

• Accident Detection
• Comrade Aid
• Remote Tracking

Following this, Uepaa will be just one step away from launching in the surrounding Alpine regions. Technical preparations for this roll-out phase are now in full swing, as is the internal management re-structuring. In preparation for the foreseen business growth, Uepaa! has strengthened its management with Oliver Krähenbühl as CFO since 1 June 2013. With his substantial experience and competencies from previous CFO positions, Oliver will contribute to meeting the current demands Uepaa! will face. Additionally, Xaver Weibel will switch to the role of COO from 1 September 2013 onwards. He had until now, lead the product development of the app and will now also take responsibility for the infrastructure as well as all the operative processes concerning our rescue partners.

About Xaver Weibel:
Since May 2012 Xaver Weibel (33) has been leading the Product Development of Uepaa AG. He was previously Associate Director at SIX Financial Information and between 2009 - 2012 gained experience as Project Manager, Architect and Software Engineer. In 2008 he worked as Advisor and Software Engineer at Capgemini.

About Oliver Krähenbühl:
Since 2008 Oliver Krähenbühl (41) has held the position of CFO, as well as Member of the Executive Board at jobs.ch. Prior to that he was CFO and Business Unit Director Switzerland of the Dutch Canon Group company Océ between 2001 - 2003. He also gained experience as Chief Financial Officer during those three year whilst working with the Spanish telecommunications company  Teléfonica 3G Mobile, as well as between 2000 - 2001 at 24/7 RealMedia as CFO Europe & Asia.
