Shortly before Easter, the first Venture Day of the year took place in Zurich. 240 entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of corporates and support organisations attended and saw 30 startup pitches and some important announcements about events in 2020.
The Venture DAY of Startup INVEST included again several new features. Startups pitched in 100 seconds and were joined by several investors who also pitched to the audience. In total 30 entrepreneurs and investors took the opportunity to introduce their company, venture capital firm or business angel club. The full list is published on the website of Startup INVEST. In addition, more than 200 1:1 meetings took place.
NOAH conference in Zurich in 2020
Startup INVEST Chairman Christian Wenger, Managing Director Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier and Co-Managing Director Daniel Bermejo shared also some exciting news regarding the next events. The most important: In 2020 NOAH Conference will come to Switzerland. The goal is to attract investors from abroad and to connect them with Swiss deeptech start-ups. The conference will take place in September 2020 in Zurich. Up to now the NOAH team organized three conferences per year in Berlin, where the organisation is based, in London and in Tel Aviv. The Startup INVEST team provided additional news regarding their own events. While the Startup DAY this year will be a one day conference the two day format will return in 2020. Next year the Startup DAYS will again be bigger with more participants, higher prize money and satellites all over Bern downtown.
Already in September 2019 Startup INVEST will start a new event format, the Black Monday informal monthly gatherings for the start-up ecosystem in Zurich. The event will take place on the first Monday of every month.
The next highlight of Startup Invest will be the Startup DAY which will take place on 28 May at the Kursaal Casino Bern. The full day event will include keynotes, panels, “investors on stage”, a pitch competition, 1:1 meetings and masterclasses for start-ups and corporates. Read more in our separate article.
