The Swisscom StartUp Challenge has launched. The program provides tech startups the opportunity to win a tailored business acceleration program in Silicon Valley and meet potential customers, investors and members of the local ecosystem. Only five winners can win the trip. The application deadline closes on 19 May.

Startups that have previously traveled to Silicon Valley can testify to the benefits of participating in the trip. One of the major impressions is the ability to immerse themselves in the startup scene, meet like-minded entrepreneurs, pitch to investors as well as meet and exchange with potential customers. In addition, the winners receive insights for improving, validating product-market fit and testing their solutions. The retrospective competition has enabled the startups to thrive and achieve further milestones in their home markets as well. Our articles about the last trip give an impression of the benefits.

The seventh edition of the Swisscom Startup Challenge, organized by Swisscom in collaboration with Venturelab, has now kicked off to provide a new cohort the opportunity to travel to Silicon Valley. Eligible to apply are high-growth technology startups with start-ups with international growth potential, an experienced and ambitious team. The startups may also stem from the fields of AI, ICT, Fintech, blockchain, digital marketing, security, IOT, robotics or drones.

Following the registration phase on 19th May, the selection jury will identify ten finalists that will benefit from the pitch training with personal feedback from Venturelab experts to help them prepare for the final jury pitch on 22 August. The finalists will also get access to Swisscom’s network.

Only five startups that meet the criteria and convince the jury, will win the trip Silicon Valley for a business acceleration program from 20 – 26 October 2019. Additionally, they will have a chance of investment or collaboration with Swisscom.
