Gamescom 2019 awaits the Swiss games delegation

More than 370’000 visitors gathered last year at Gamescom, the world’s largest trade fair for game enthusiasts and developers, to discover and present their inventions. Pro Helvetia invites Swiss companies and indie studios to submit their application to join the next international SwissGames delegation to Gamescom. Registration deadline expires on 29 April 2019.

Gamescom is the largest interactive games and entertainment trade show worldwide, offering an extensive event and congress program for all gaming enthusiasts. Last year over 370’000 visitors from 106 countries attended the fair, and more than 1000 companies exhibited their game inventions. With such a turn-up, Gamescon sweeps the first place of the largest game trade shows worldwide. Moreover, it is not only a place for video games enthusiasts but has also grown to become a significant business platform for decision-makers in the European games industry. This year the fair takes place on from 20 –24 August 2019.

For Swiss game developers, GamesCom offers an ideal venue to showcase their inventions, meet international players to expand their reach in the global market. To seize this opportunity, Pro Helvetia is looking for 15 Swiss companies and Indie studios that eager to present their projects and reach out to international markets to join the Swiss delegation.

The selected participants will benefit from the following services;

  • A dedicated exhibition space within the SwissGames Are

  • Exhibition design and material, prints and presentation device

  • Two professional passes (presence of 2 people/studio is expected)

  • Full access to the matchmaking platform

  • Promotional coverage before and during the showcase

  • Kick Off event at Pro Helvetia Zurich (June)

  • Pitch Session in Bern (Juli)

Pro Helvetia does not cover nor arrange accommodation and travel costs. Aspirants can also apply for the package with or without an exhibition space. Registration deadline expires on 29 April 2019.
