The new edition of the Social Impact Award is now launched. The program aims to promote social entrepreneurship among young people in Switzerland. The best team will receive a cash prize, a 3-months incubation program and a ticket to the SIA Summit in Georgia. Registration is now open.

The Social Impact Award (SIA) is a program of the Impact Hub network focusing on the design and development of social enterprises in Europe. It is aimed at young people who want to realize their own projects, thus change, and improve the world.

Through a series of workshops, aspiring participants will acquire knowledge on the topic of social entrepreneurship before they can partake in the challenge. Once admitted, they will further develop their ideas with a team of experts. As part of the completion, they will present their ideas to the jury and the most promising projects will be offered a 3-month personalised incubation program at Impact Hub Geneva including access to the co-working space, startup labs focusing on their needs and free access to Business Help Desk experts. The winners will likewise receive a monetary prize and the opportunity to participate in the 2018 SIA Summit in Georgia.

The program was officially launched yesterday at the Impact Hub Lausanne, with the company of inspiring speakers, successful entrepreneurs, coaches, mentors and jury members. Interested candidates can now submit their application. Submission of ideas ends on May 28, 2018.

SIA is organised by Impact Hub Geneva and Lausanne in partnership with Euforia, UBS, WWF, University of Vienna and ERSTE Stiftung and in collaboration with Impact Hub Bern and Zurich.
