Locatee Analytics provides continuous data on the actual office space utilization, enables Corporate Real Estate Managers to optimize their office space and thus reduces real estate costs permanently. The solution has already been rolled out to four different workspaces.
The way how people work is changing. Enabled by mobile technologies, a growing number of employees are able to work flexibly at the office, on the go or even at home. At work, employees gain the freedom to choose between different workplaces according to their needs – a quiet place when deadlines are due, or a desk close to colleagues when collaboration is needed. According to recent studies, these activity based workspace concepts increase employees’ productivity and allow companies to optimize their real estate footprint.
With only 50% actual desk utilisation in traditional offices and high real estate costs, there is a great potential for optimization.
Today, Zurich based Startup Locatee officially launched its software solution Locatee Analytics to identify and realize this potential. Locatee’s intelligent big data technology analyses the office utilisation on the basis of already existing data sources without affecting employees’ privacy. With Locatee Analytics, Corporate Real Estate Managers get access to continuous, empirical data and gain revealing insights into the utilization of their entire office. Customers of Locatee are able to optimize and forecast office space usage and thus drive their overall real estate efficiency permanently.
Meanwhile, Locatee’s founding team, consisting of Benedikt Köppel from ETH Zurich and Thomas Kessler from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) plans to go big. “We already rolled out our solution to four different workspaces.” says Thomas Kessler, CEO of Locatee. “We want to become the standard solution for permanent workspace optimisation and create a better and more cost-efficient workplace for our customers and their employees.”
