The EIT Food Accelerator Network (EIT FAN) has launched a new acceleration program for high impact agri-food startups. Each year, 40 startups will be selected to join the four-month program with expert coaching and equity free cash prizes of worth EUR 180’000 for top three start-ups. Registration is now open.

Organised by  EIT Food (European Institute of Innovation & Technology), EIT FAN is a multi-location accelerator program delivered across Europe, to support high impact food-space start-ups to maximise their success. The initiative will support up to 40 startups each year. The first call for applications is now open.

Over a 4 month acceleration period, selected start-ups will get access to technology, pilot sites and international markets, coaching and mentorship by leading food sector players and world renowned academics with specialised knowledge and skills to develop food sector innovation expertise. A broad entrepreneurship curriculum and a food focused syllabus to equip them with the knowledge they need to succeed is also offered. At the end of the program, the best three start-ups from all locations (Germany, Switzerland, Israel and the United Kingdom) will be awarded €180,000 in equity-free cash prizes.

The EIT Food Accelerator Network has partnered with MassChallenge – a global non-profit start-up accelerator and competition with a focus on early-stage entrepreneurs – to leverage their experience helping high-impact start-ups succeed. Applications can be submitted through MassChallenge. Early bird deadline closes on March 1st.
