Technical Cofounder & Head of Backend Development

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION • We seek a co-founder who will stick around; i.e. NO EXTERNAL DEVELOPERS OR AGENCIES. • We seek a kick-ass coder; i.e. NO PEOPLE, WHOSE FIRST SUGGESTION IT IS TO SEEK FOR CODERS IN THE MARKETPLACE. • We seek an entrepreneur; i.e. NO PEOPLE SEARCHING FOR USD 10k+ IN MONTHLY REMUNERATION + BONUS + EQUITY +++ . During MVP Development & Market Adoption Testing phase (max. 6 months), we remunerate in terms of SWEAT EQUITY, following a transparent and fair approach.

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB Your primary role is to design from scratch, develop, deploy and maintain the backend of our technology platform, including one of our core products: The REST microservice integration hub to enhance our core offerings with add-on services from third-party providers. Your primary responsibilities include: • Shaping the compelling platform strategy, and communicating a clear vision and roadmap to stakeholders. • Building and administering rock-solid, safe, high-traffic and enterprise-ready sites and systems, delivered in the cloud. • Working hand-in-hand with other teams to ensure seamless development, testing and deployment into production.

REQUIREMENTS • Expertise in building, managing and maintaining best-in-class systems using Docker, Kubernetes & Micro-services. • At ease solving complex technology issues and developing powerful systems and solutions, while communicating and presenting complex ideas simply and concisely to various stakeholders. • Kick-ass coder. Continuously growing our API landscape by producing scalable, reliable and easy-to-understand code in Python, J2EE, SCALA, NodeJS or whatever you will propose to fit best the project, while fostering and making use of customer and supplier insights. • Discerned analytic mindset, paired with the ability to drive things forward and get stuff done. • Potential to grow and lead an agile BE team over time. Sharing your know-how across the organisation, while appreciating to learn from the ideas and expertise of others. The cool boss everybody dreams of. Monitoring and optimizing performance via tools such as Nagios or Ops manager, while ensuring optimal profitability. • At least an excellent bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or similar. Fluency in English (Germand and/or French a plus).
