Felix Mayer from Sensirion and Gabriel Clerc, the senior advisor at the Presidency of EPFL share their experience. 

Keynote Speaker: Felix Mayer, "From start to one billion quoted company"

In 1998, Felix Mayer and Moritz Lechner, both ETH Zürich graduates, started their own company Sensirion AG as a spin-off of the university. For eighteen years, together they managed Sensirion as Co-CEOs. In July 2016, they handed over their function to the next generation by stepping down from operational management duties. In their new role as active co-chairmen, they now focus on strategic product innovations for new markets. Since its foundation, Sensirion has grown to over 750 employees and has become one of the leading sensor companies for flow and environmental sensors solutions. 

Keynote Speaker: Gabriel Clerc, "Lessons learned from over 20 years of tech transfer."

In 1988, he joined the EPFL research directorate as a staff member et became Head of the Technology Transfer Office (EPFL-TTO) from its creation in 1998 until 2018. Presently, he is a senior advisor at the Presidency of EPFL, mainly for IP and TT matters. Having spent nine years active in the field of aeronautics as an experimental test pilot for the Swiss department of defense, he also works as an R&D engineer for SULZER Co. central R&D department. He also co-founded and was president of the Swiss Technology Transfer Association (swiTT). He is a member of AUTM and ASTP associations.
