Italian Tech Night is the Flagship event of pizzatech - the network of Italian startup founders, investors and executives in Switzerland

Gianmaria Sbetta (AWS) and Umberto Milano (Kellerhals Carrard) launched pizzatech in March 2021 with the goal of connecting Italian founders in Switzerland and intensifying exchanges between the Swiss and Italian ecosystems, bringing together startups, investors, institutions, businesses and industry experts. To date, Gianluca Cesari (CBDO & Cofounder at Sevensense), Francesco Dell'Endice (CEO & Cofounder at QualySense) and Marco Letizia (CEO & Cofounder at Aesyra) joined the board of pizzatech.

About one year from inception, the pizzatech team intends to organize on Thursday, March 24, 2022, in Zurich, the first flagship event to gather its community of founders, executives and investors. For the occasion, we invited key-note speakers representing both the Swiss and Italian innovation ecosystem, including:

- Philip Hassler, Co-Managing Director of Venture Kick, a philanthropic initiative aimed at promoting technology transfer from university to enterprise. Since 2007, Venture Kick has supported 841 university spinoffs with CHF 40 million;

- Daniela Marino, Founder of Cutiss AG, a biotech startup in the field of skin tissue regeneration, which won 1st place in the Top 100 Swiss Startup Award in 2020 and 2nd place in 2021 and raised over CHF 20m in equity investments;

- Francesco Cerruti, General Manager of Italian Tech Alliance, the Italian association of innovators, including venture capital and corporate, business angels, family offices, innovative startups and SMEs.
