Juries from different International programs such as UpLink accelerator, the CES Honoree and the TechTour have acknowledged the quality of solutions and innovation prowess of Swiss startups, giving them a spot on the winners’ podium.

The UpLink accelerator program has welcomed a new cohort for the challenge Sustainable Aviation Accelerator, designed to accelerate innovative solutions aiming to decarbonize aviation. Sought-for ideas included sustainable fuels, propulsion technologies and value chain innovations like feedstock, engineering, infrastructure and market development. ETH spinoff Synhelion is one of the selected companies. It develops carbon-neutral solar fuels with the mission to support the decarbonization of challenging transportation sectors globally. The company utilizes sun-to-liquid technology, converting solar energy and CO2 into versatile, carbon-neutral fuels. This approach enables the production of solar jet fuel, marine fuel, gasoline, and diesel without retrofitting existing infrastructure. With the world's inaugural industrial solar fuel facility underway in Germany, Synhelion collaborates with industry leaders like Eni, Lufthansa Group, and Cemex, driving a cleaner, sustainable global transport landscape.

Senbiosys Veila wins CES Honoree award in Digital Health
The Veila ring by Senbiosys caused a stir at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year, winning itself an honorees award in the category of digital health. The EPFL Spinoff startup designs smart rings to give users a comprehensive overview of their health vitals. Its model, Veila, has particularly impressed the public because of its size and ability to provide comprehensive and accurate insights into users’ health and wellness from the collected data from the finger. The ring has a constellation of sensors built around it to capture information for breathing rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen levels (SpO2), distance and step counting, and more. Being the only Swiss startup in the awarded solutions positions Senbiosys as one of the most innovative young companies on the global playground.
