Fanpictor has raised $1.9 million in growth funding from new and existing investors led by Zürcher Kantonalbank to further expand its innovative fan engagement software.
Fanpictor developed a Software that enables sports teams and its Partners to activate and monetize their fan bases. The means to an end are choreographies (aka mosaics, card stunts or tributes). Fans have the possibility to design choreographies online, share them with their friends in social media and vote on them. The winning choreography will then be executed in the Stadium.
The choreographies can either be executed in the classical way with the help of paper, cardboard or other tools or with the Fanpictor Smartphone App that allows the synchronization of all smartphones in a venue.
Sports teams (or events) can use Fanpictor as a new Sponsoring category and can resell it to new or existing Sponsors.
Use of proceeds of funding were also invested in R&D resulting in filing for a patent application at the European Patent Office under the Title „Identification of selected portable devices at a venue“.
