Qipp raises seed financing from well-known Swiss and German investors

Qipp today closed a seed financing round of around half a million Swiss francs and further strengthens leadership team. Fourth co-founder Marc Beermann completes the management. Since April, the company won more than 25 enterprise customers across Europe.

Among the new investors are Ariel Lüdi, former Salesforce executive and previously CEO of hybris, Alois Flatz, former partner at London-based private equity fund Zouk Capital and Holger Reinhardt, CTO of German media and software company Haufe. All new investors have also joined qipp's advisory board. The financing will be used to further grow the sales as well as the technology team. qipp has now a team of 13 out of which 8 are in software development.

In addition to the successful fundraising, Marc Beermann joined as fourth co-founder and is responsible for finance as well as for product development. Marc Beermann has 15 years of international experience under his belt at Hewlett-Packard Europe, Bain & Company and at technology growth fund VM Capital, and previously served as CFO of the food technology start-up UrbanFarmers.

Since the launch of ALLTHINGS HOME and its successful implementation at a 560 apartments complex in Basel in March 2015, the company has gained a lot of attention in the real estate industry. ALLTHINGS HOME simplifies and enhances the communication between owners, property managers and residents while also integrating third-party services into a single front-end. This unique combination of communication and service integration results in 10 times better user registration and usage rates compared to existing, proprietary app-solutions and has recently been awarded as best connected home solution during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company currently prepares and deploys ALLTHINGS HOME implementations with more than 25 customers that in total own and manage at least 200’000 residential units across Europe.
