The Lausanne based fintech startup NetGuardians, recognized for its unique approach to fraud and risk assurance solutions, received the Aurexia Fintech award last week in London. NetGuardians received a cash prize of GBP 5’000.

Organized by Aurexia Consulting, Aurexia Fintech Awards recognise startups with innovative solutions able to disrupt financial business processes. Over the course of 4 months, Aurexia evaluated the 100 submitted applications. 15 fintech startups were selected across 4 categories; KYC, Trading Platform, Post Trade and Client Distribution to present their solution before the public and a jury comprising of decision makers from banks and investors. A winner in each category was determined.

NetGuardians was awarded the Aurexia Fintech Award in the category Post-Trade. The post trade process is an important part of the life cycleof all transactions. It gathers different functions such as the ability of the buyer and the seller to compare trade details to approve the transaction, change records of ownership. The startup received a cash prize of GBP 5,000 and a second prize worth GBP 9,000 for consulting from Aurexia to assist with strategy and growth. NetGuardians will also gain access Aurexia’s wide network through Societe Generale to reach other Banks, partners such as Blackfin Capital Partners, and with Barclays accelerator teams.

NetGuardians is recognized for its state-of-art software solution designed to combat fraud and risk for bank clients. Their FraudGuardian solution is based on smart behavioural analysis software that uses policy rules and predictive analysis to alerts users about potential internal fraud. Founded in 2007, NetGuardians was the first company to emerge from the innovation incubator of the HEIG-VD Business School and Engineering Vaud. Since then, the company has continuously grown and has increased its clientele in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and in Asia.
