The search for Insphero’s successor has began

The Entrepreneur of the Year contest is one of the most renowned annual contests for entrepreneurs organised by Ernst and Young worldwide. The Award acknowledged the most outstanding companies from each category including Industry/High-Tech/Life Science, Trade/Services, Family Business and since 2010 start-ups can participate under the category Emerging Entrepreneur. The last Emerging Entrepreneur in 2015 was Insphero.

The selected entrepreneurs benefit from contacts from around the world and gain access to ideas, markets and up-to-the-minute expertise and skills. The winner will also have the opportunity to gain international fame through which he or she acts as a Swiss representative in the elections to "EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year ", which will take place in spring 2017 in Monte Carlo.

Start-up companies must fulfil the following criteria in order to participate in the contest;

• The entrepreneur must be actively involved in the company. He or she must hold a nominal interest in the company, be part of the management team and largely responsible for the company’s growth in recent years.

• The company’s registered office is in Switzerland.

• The company must have at least 5 employees.

• The company must not be older than 2 years with

• A minimum of CHF 1 million of annual revenue is required.

The jury will select the most outstanding entrepreneurs and these will be announced at the winner at the Award night on 28 October 2016.

Applications are to be submitted until 30 April 2016
