Sebastien Flury Fusion

Fintech Fusion, Switzerland’s first fintech accelerator with permanent office in the centre of Geneva, announces the nomination of Sébastien Flury as its Program Director.

The aim of Fusion is to fuse the best of Switzerland with the most promising fintech talent to lead innovation in financial services. Fusion is currently accepting applications from start-ups. Applications are made through the accelerator website and must be made before July 15th (final deadline) in order to qualify for the intake of 1 October. Fusion expects to host between eight and ten start-ups for its 12 months programme and is especially interested in companies working in areas such as asset and wealth management, insurance, and commodity trading.

Today Fusion announced that Sébastien Flury will join the accelerator as Program Director. Sébastien will be responsible for all aspects related to the startup acceleration program and its day to day operations.

Guillaume Dubray, Managing Partner at Polytech Ventures commented the recruitment of Fusion’ Program Director: “Sébastien is a well-connected entrepreneur, with a deep experience of the start-up world in Switzerland and Europe. He’s the “Swissknife” we were looking for!”

Sébastien Flury says: “It’s a great honor to have been recruited to run Fintech Fusion. The program will bring a key value to the supported startups: accelerating their sales process, which is often the biggest hurdle to overcome as an entrepreneur. Participating to Fintech Fusion shall be one of the “turning points” in the entrepreneurial journey of our startups!”

Sébastien Flury is a well-known figure of the Swiss startup scene. After a career start in the banking industry, he jumped into the start-up world in 2008 as a project manager and start-up coach for a technology park in Northwestern Switzerland called Creapole. After 4 years in coaching start-ups, he left in Summer 2012 to co-founded a start-up, Coteries (the mobile fan club of musicians). As a start-up evangelist for years, he also launched the leading independent Swiss start-up blog, startupolic.com, back in 2012. He’s running several start-up events (like SICTIC Investor Day, Swiss Tech Talks Biel/Bienne, etc) and is an advisor at TechBridge (Zürich-based company screening startups for big corporates) and Swiss ICT Investors Club (newest business angels club from Zürich).
