Two Startups compete against four large companies

In this year’s Prix SVC Suisse romande 2016, two startups are battling against already well-established companies. Nexthink and Coorpacademy have been nominated among the finalists.

Swiss Venture Club recognises the most innovative companies both large and small as well as start-ups from seven different regions in Switzerland by bestowing upon them the Prix SVC award. The award is designed to reward companies that are distinguished not only by their commercial success but also by their dynamism, their innovation, management quality, corporate culture and their anchor in the regional economic and social fabric. Winners are acknowledged with the “Winner Sculpture” and they automatically nominated as finalists for the EY Entrepreneur of the year award. The award ceremony will be held in November at the Swiss Tech Convention Center.

In this year’s edition, an independent jury nominated six finalists among them two innovative stratups Coorpacademy and Nexthink.  The reason: "The nominated startups are fast growing and have sustainable business models."

Coorpacademy
Developed in the Innovation Park of the école polytechnique of LausanneFounded in 2013, Coorpacademy offers an online learning platform that focuses on innovations dedicated to B2B training. The platform, inspired by the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), is based upon a revolutionary pedagogical method that aims to engage both co-workers to clients. The platform offers complete personalised syllabus to allow for diversity between skill levels and encourage mutual collaboration and assistance throughout the process. Since its establishment the startup has been featured in numerous media publications – including HR Today, Le Temps, PME Magazine, among others – has received funds and also closed strategic partnerships.

Nexthink
Following aresearch project in artificial intelligence at EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) in Switzerland, Nexthink began specialising in a new category of IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) called End-user IT Analytics. Taking the End-user perspective, Nexthink maps all the IT services, how they are being consumed, and how the IT infrastructure is operating to provide s enhance visibility and provide insight into IT operations and security for IT Governance.

Since its foundation, the company has achieved a number of milestones including receiving a CTI label, closing a series of financing rounds and most recently raising $40 million and intends to go public in the next two years.
