Enoventis, a young company based in Basel, has developed the world’s first mobile battery pack that slots into Apple iPhone wall chargers (US, EU & UK models), while simultaneously allowing to charge the phone.

Unlike other portable battery packs, the product called Everjuice STROM allows to charge an iPhone while it’s still left plugged into the outlet, saving time and effort while always staying charged and ready to use. Users don’t have to remember to charge their additional battery pack.

The team started working on the product idea about 9 months ago. The first prototype was built in January 2015. STROM was designed in partnership with Flink, an integrated Swiss design, engineering and production services company with over 12 years of experience in electronic product development and Asian production contract management. The team at Flink has built and produced several products for clients in the area of power electronics, smartphone chargers and multi-country travel adaptors.

Enoventis has already functional samples and invested in the tooling. The first pilot lot of 100 units can be produced shortly. These will be used for further final testing and certification.

“We analysed the market for portable charging devices for iPhones extensively and realised that existing solutions did not satisfy key user needs for keeping the iPhone charged when they are on-the-go. With STROM, we created a portable iPhone battery pack that is effortless to charge and carry. Let's face it, no one wants to worry about charging yet another device in our busy lives, so we built STROM to be Charged by Design and gel into your daily iPhone charging routine,” Sasi Chodagam, CEO and Founder of Enoventis.

A 30 day crowdfunding campaign to fund $15,000 US dollars for the production of Everjuice STROM has been launched on Indiegogo. After the first weekend more of one third of the amount has already been committed. First shipping is planned for October.
