SuperCharger is an accelerator program for global fintech companies planning to expand to the Asian market. The program is backed by companies such as Standard Chartered and Fidelity International.
On the invitation of the Standard Chartered and Fidelity International, Squirro has been selected to join the SuperCharger program in Hong Kong. SuperCharger FinTech Accelerator is the first program dedicated to both start-ups and scale-up global fintech companies aiming to capture the Asian growth market. The program leverages on Hong Kong's traditional strength as Asia's finance and technology gateway.
“The SuperCharger program has received the highest accolades in terms of success of previous years' startup participants. The program provide us red carpet access to participating institutions and will help us to accelerate our local setup”, explained Squirro CEO Dorian Selz to Startupticker.
Squirro will engage with financial services companies such as Standard Chartered, Fidelity, HSBC, etc. and plans to develop a fully functional subsidiary serving the Asian market in the long term. To this day Squirro is not active in Asia. “We are coming here on the invitation of the participating banks in the program. They recognise the strategic value of our solution, which allows them to turn meaningless data into actionable insights”, said Dorian Selz.
SuperCharger has designed a structured curriculum to create success. The accelerator assists with company building, mentorship and advice in areas such as market entry, regulatory obligations and joint ventures opportunities. The program itself coincides with the peak time of financial and start-up activity in Hong Kong. At the end of the program, participants will have a chance to pitch to investors and potential partners at the Investor Demo Day and the invite-only Demo Day.
