“Engage – Participate – Act” is a mentoring programme by the non-profit organisation enpact. In 2015 mentoring for 60 high potential entrepreneurs will be available in the following countries: Austria, Egypt, Germany Jordan, Morocco, Switzerland and Tunisia. The objective is to foster knowledge exchange between young entrepreneurs from different regions in order to equip them with the expertise needed to create sustainable jobs.

Apart from the classical one-on-one mentoring approach, the additional value of enpact’s programme lies in the emphasis on horizontal learning between entrepreneurs from different regions and the development of joint business projects.

The actual mentoring will be implemented in working groups of three entrepreneurs. These groups, each consisting of one participant from Europe and two participants from the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) will be accompanied and coached by a renowned mentor from the enpact network. This collaboration will be strengthened through on-going workshops and networking summits in the project countries. There, participants will continuously assess their progress, learn about the national entrepreneurial ecosystems, meet local experts, visit companies, participate in start-up safaris, attend pitch events with investors etc.

While a number of mentoring programmes exist to support entrepreneurs in various contexts, enpact differentiates itself by its unique approach. In addition to traditional one-on-one mentoring, mentoring is also provided in working groups to foster both vertical and horizontal knowledge exchange. This is supported by first-hand insights into the working realities of the different ecosystems in the project countries. The programme is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and has been running successfully since 2013.

Enpact is looking for ten participants per country in Egypt, Jordan, Germany, Tunisia and Morocco and five participants per country in Switzerland and Austria. All costs during the programme are fully funded (all fees for travel, visa, hotel, mentoring etc.)

The application period is from 21 January until 15 March 2015.Female applicants and younger applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
