Aerial GlobalVision360° debuts in Dubai

Virtual travellers from around the world will enjoy a fly-trough of Dubai at http://dubai.globalvision360.com. From the free online interface, visible on computers and mobile devices, one can turn in the scenes from an altitude of 130m and discover all iconic landmarks in Dubai: from the world’s tallest skyscraper to the famous Jumeirah Palm Island. Over a dozen of scenes are available for visitors. The can fly through just as if they were a bird and get more information about particular elements in the scenes.

GlobalVision Communication is the company which originated this project. With its main office in Switzerland and subsidiaries in Vietnam, France and UAE, GlobalVision serves its customers worldwide with 360° immersive technologies and offers full-range of streetview mapping and 2D/3D UAV-based maps.

The Dubai project was realized by GlobalVision personnel, using professional, heavy-duty drones and high-definition cameras. All images have been collected, retouched and linked to each other using know-how developed in-house. The project is also part of the buildup and grand opening of GlobalVision newest office in Dubai.

Jan-Mathieu Donnier, 31, GlobalVision’s CEO, comments “we are an award-winning company, offering unique services for corporations and industrial facilities.”. He further adds “UAV mapping and 360° panoramic imagery are within a booming sector in which we gathered 15 years experience and a unique insight, driving our own R&D efforts from our offices in Europe and Asia”. Finally concluding “we are in the process of opening three new regional offices this year: by the way it started, we can surely say 2015 is going to be really exciting”.

The company serves mapping and technology industries, with past references such as Mozilla foundation, Google Business Photos. Its customers include large-scale public services companies and government agencies, for urban development, industrial safety and environmental care.
