In 2015, the Swiss presence at the Game Developers Conference boasts outstanding results and successes. The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the world's largest and longest-running professionals-only game industry event.

With 6 nominations at the Game Connection Developers Awards, 1 nomination at the Independent Game Festival, 2 nominations at the International Mobile Game Awards and 2 GDC «Best In Play» awards, the Swiss delegation is putting Switzerland on the map of the videogame industry, highlighting the potential of products issued by young and innovative creators coming from the center of the Alps. These few days in San Francisco promise to be a great breakthrough for the Swiss. More information can be found on the website of “Mobile” and in a comprehensive article written by Jan Graber for «20Minuten».

Ru Weerasuiya, GDC advisory board, CEO at Ready at Dawn, and Creative Director of the latest Blockbuster «The Order 1886», recons Switzerland is the number one country comparing nominations per citizens.  The Swiss born Ru sees the reasons in the good educational system and a very selective process: ‘The focus lies on the choice of people with enthusiasm and passion’.
