EUREKA announces the opening of the EUREKA High-Tech Investment Programme, which will take place from February to December 2015. Switzerland is a national partner of the programme.

Access to finance is widely recognized as one of the main challenges for innovative start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The lack of a sufficient quantity and quality in the supply of financing and its high fragmentation across Europe hampers the potential growth of innovative SMEs. In addition to that, investors are often confronted with an inadequate and weak demand of capital coming from the start-ups, SMEs, and innovative projects seeking capital.

EUREKA HTIP will involve a minimum of 75 SMEs which will go through especially designed programme to develop investment readiness, consisting of series of online and onsite training, such as webinars, venture academies, and Investment venture forum events. Through these, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to raise awareness about available investment sources and options; get ready for funding by improving their business proposition and their presentation pitch to investors; and raise funding by meeting with key active and specialized investors.

Alpine High-Tech Venture Forum (AHVF), Lausanne
High-Tech Venture Forum will take place in June 24-25, 2015 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The event will be a unique occasion for the most promising Life Sciences, Clean Technology and Information Technology entrepreneurs to meet and present themselves to active international investors and corporations seeking investment and partnerships.

AHVF is co-hosted by the Swiss Chairmanship and will be an important platform to promote a dynamic and professional image of innovative entrepreneurship and venture capital to the rest of Europe.

The best 30 high-growth EUREKA companies active in the technology sectors of Cleantech, ICT and, Life Sciences, will be selected to present at the Forum by the Selection Board, who will assess them on the basis of their business potential, technology merit, competitive position, investment interest and team experience. This provides a significant opportunity for the companies to gain visibility among the investment community and, of course, to have access to capital.
