Investors associated with Business Angels Switzerland have financed seven Swiss start-ups in 2016.

2016 was again an active year for Business Angels Switzerland (BAS). BAS is neither an investment fund nor a holding company: the decisions to invest are made by its members on a personal basis. BAS is thus not involved at all in its members’ investments. A consequence of this is that there might be investments which the organisation itself don’t know about. The known investments in 2016 are:

Gymhopper
With Gymhopper it is possible to train in more than 110 of the best independent fitness studios in Switzerland without extra charge. Users of the Gymhopper app just need a subscription in one of the Gymhopper partner studios and are then free to choose the fitness center which suits them best. In 2016 Gymhopper closed an additional seed round with member from BAS.

Flatfox
Flatfox has built an end-to-end solution for rentals. Tenants, brokers and real estate agents - all can communicate and exchange documents on one single platform. Implemented in a messenger-like application flatfox moderates the process from search to signature for all parties. In 2016, flatfox closed a seed round with investors from BAS.

Forensity
Forensity’s product FAST is an innovative application to get easier and faster more matches with shoe prints from crime scenes. Business Angels from Business Angels Switzerland and another investor invested about CHF500k.

In addition, business angels from the BAS network contributed to four financing rounds which startupticker already covered. These were the financing rounds of algrano, piavita, Esmart and ecoRobotix.
