Anerdgy, Genohm and Netico were awarded with the CTI Start-up Label on Tuesday. The three companies have something in common: they are active in booming markets such as cleantech or IT for healthcare.

Anerdgy, Genohm and Netico have received the CTI Start-up Label this week. They join Biovotion, a Medtech start-up that was awarded with the label a few weeks ago.

Anerdgy AG, Zürich
Anerdgy has developed WindRail, a building-based energy generation system, combining wind flow, pressure differences and solar radiation.

At the heart of WindRail is an electricity generating, wind turbine. The turbine entry area harnesses the wind flow near the facade edge and accelerates it by using the natural pressure differences between facade and roof. This wind speed is used to induce rotation, which generates electricity. The WindRail module’s upper surface may be covered with photovoltaic cells, producing additional electricity.  At the moment the company is testing and optimizing a prototype B.

Genohm SA, Ecublens
Genohm is a bioinformatics company delivering specialized products and services for biotechnology, life sciences, pharma and R&D labs.

Core product is Slims, a Laboratory Information Management System. Building upon an extensive bioinformatics consulting expertise within the life sciences R&D world, a unique environment was put together to support the ever-increasing complexity of handling, analyzing and understanding biological data. SLims accommodates this by providing laboratories with one integrated LIMS+ELN environment that tracks data and samples from the original sample shipment down to the result from lab machines and in-silico analysis pipelines. SLims fully accommodates the needs of any research lab, next-generation sequencing lab, service facility, biobank or QC lab.

Netico GmbH, Horgen
Netico leverages consumer technologies in industrial applications and is one of the first companies combining extensive experience in industrial automation with rapid growth of consumer information and communication technologies to create new products and services for professional use.

First products include the “Leak Hunter”, a leak detection system that can alert, quickly detect, pinpoint the quantity and the precise location of a leak in oil or water pipelines; a series of energy management sensors combining monitoring of electrical energy consumption, power quality analysis, and management of electrical energy use in a single powerful internet connected device, for the price of ordinary power meters and Distro10, a lightweight electrical SCADA software, based on Microsoft Windows operating system, and developed specifically for monitoring and control of medium and low voltage power grids.
