Sir Steve Redgrave has been announced today as an ambassador for SenseCore, a human performance company whose products combine revolutionary sensors to software solutions that have been developed together with elite medical experts and sports scientists.

SenseCore AG, based in Zürich, Switzerland, is designing, developing, marketing and distributing human high-performance solutions. SenseCore products consist of revolutionary dry electrode sensors within compression garments capturing ECG, respiration, temperature and kinetic data while its software solutions allow the monitoring and assessment of all six areas related to human high performance and well-being.

Sir Steve Redgrave CBE is one of an elite group of athletes to have achieved 5 gold medals in consecutive Olympic Games. Sir Steve Redgrave is arguably Britain’s greatest Olympian and indeed one of the greatest Olympians the world has ever seen. Following his 5th Olympic gold in Sydney, he was awarded a Knighthood in 2001. Sir Steve’s iconic status was recognised in the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony; he carried the Olympic flame into the stadium and was the final athlete to hand the flame to the next generation of athletes before they lit the Olympic cauldron.

Speaking about the announcement Alexandros Giannakis CEO, SenseCore said, “We are extremely proud to have our product endorsed by an Olympic legend such as Sir Steve Redgrave. His support and insight as an athlete who has reached the highest pinnacle of his sport will be invaluable for the performance and recovery knowledge our products will bring to many athletes. Sir Steve Redgrave’s reputation and gravitas across all sport makes him the perfect ambassador for us.”

Commenting on his ambassador role, Sir Steve Redgrave, said “SenseCore have created a unique product which will revolutionise the way athletes understand their bodies and all areas that are fundamental to reaching high performance. It is fantastic to see something which at its heart is very simple but will aid performance whilst assisting recovery and reducing injury risks. If this technology had been available when I was competing it would have been of invaluable assistance to my entire team leading to increased performance and understanding.”
